History

  • 1979 - Harold Reid, CA opened an office in Birtle, MB.

  • 1981 - A part-time office opened in Shoal Lake, MB

  • 1984 - The office in Russell, MB was opened, originally on a part-time basis.

  • 1989 - The firm becomes authorized as a municipal auditor.

  • 1991 - A Shoal Lake accounting firm was purchased and amalgamated with the existing
    Shoal Lake office. The office was opened full-time.

  • 1994 - An accounting firm in Russell was purchased and the firm became Bellas & Reid.

  • 2005- Audra Nychuk, CA was made partner.

    • The firm changed its name to SENSUS Partnership of Chartered Accountants. An existing accounting firm in Brandon was purchased. This opened the firm up to Western Manitoba’s largest urban market.

  • 2008 - A Yorkton firm was purchased, enabling Sensus to service a new local but larger market.

  • 2011 - An accounting practice in Virden, MB was purchased.

  • 2015 - The firm’s name changed to Sensus Partnership of Chartered Professional Accountants, in line with the amalgamation of the professional accountant designations across Canada and the name change of the Institute.

  • 2016 - Purchased another firm in Brandon, MB expanding the existing office.

  • 2019 - Brett Fordyce CPA, CGA, Ian McMullan CPA, CA, Kyle Paul, CPA, CA and Tiffany Bodnariuk, CPA, CA were made partners.

    • The firm changed its name to Sensus Chartered Professional Accountants Ltd.
